Race Safety Task Force

When two of its member died racing in 2007, race safety become a paramount concern to XXX Racing-AthletiCo. The team quickly convened a Race Safety Task Force to explore ways to make amateur bike racing safer. The task force spent the winter interviewing riders, officials and others involved with racing and has come up with several actions to take during the 2008 season. Information will be available soon.

The members of the task force are Ed Amstutz, Beth Christiansen, Matt O'Keefe, Cecile Redoble, Luke Seemann, Jane Soung and Randy Warren. They can be reached at safety@xxxracing.org.
