Hearty congratulations this week go to Daryus Patel, Sue Wellinghoff and Tristan Whitehead, who earned our latest state championships at Sunday’s Glencoe Grand Prix. In three thrilling races, Patel earned his jersey in the juniors 10-14, Wellinghoff in the women’s Cat 4’s and Whitehead in the men’s Cat 4’s. With so many cyclists in peak form, this bodes well for a high level of racing at this weekend’s Tour of Galena, where we look forward to seeing all the new state championship jerseys in action.
