First Donoghue earned a silver in the individual pursuit, the highest finish the team has ever had in an elite national championship. Then he joined Dave Moyer, Tom Briney and former teammate John Tomlinson to earn silver in the team pursuit. Finally Donoghue had what Moyer called “the ride of his life” to earn a bronze medal in a very competitive points race.
