Heading to Africa with World Bicycle Relief

In the fall of 2019, while very distraught over my pending divorce, I attended the annual World Bicycle Relief fundraiser gala with good friends from my cycling team.

After (maybe) a little too much wine, I bid on a trip to join WBR for a 10 day trip to help with their amazing charitable mission in rural Zambia. The trip was supposed to happen in June of 2020, but got pushed back a year, then another. It's finally happening next week and I.cannot.wait!

After 10 days in Zambia I'm taking time for myself to spend 12 days visiting other parts of Zambia, as well as Zimbabwe, and Botswana, to see the sights and go on some safaris. LOTS of pictures coming starting sometime next week.

While the Inner-City Education Program remains my #1 priority for fundraising, if you're interested in information about WBR, please click below to learn about the, "Power of Bicycles," and consider making a donation. Each bike costs just $165 and I'd like to raise enough to cover at least 10 bikes!
